It's extremely expensive for me to get the specialty threads Sent here and there are some Australian hand dyes I'd love to use instead if I could get an idea of colour from dmc threads it would make my life easier. Yo...Lovely sampler sis, but I do get how you feel.

You would think the designers would want to make their patterns accessible to as many people as possible!!
After all, otherwise they're the ones who lose possible sales.

It would be such a small thing for them to do a conversion, but would open up their designs to so many people.

Their loss!!

Hope you are well Toni, what do you think of the new TV channel?? Isn't it amazing?
:D

I never got an email to the gmail.com account. So I'm going to just send you a quick email from it to see if you receive mine. Hope it works!!

Take care, lots of love and hugs
Kimhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06112258191650629526noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8596171131751265636.post-90455088042628293832014-10-23T11:14:28.919+08:002014-10-23T11:14:28.919+08:00Sometimes you can find conversions to DMC for cert...Sometimes you can find conversions to DMC for certain overdyes on-line if you Google it. Also, I know that DMC puts out a color card which might be helpful in picking a DMC color--just compare it to the photo of the model. Not that you should have to do either, but it might be helpful.

Love your new sampler from The Scarlett House!Southpaw Stitcherhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15912056845400653665noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8596171131751265636.post-51873450933124714322014-10-22T18:57:24.630+08:002014-10-22T18:57:24.630+08:00Rant anytime my friend! See you on Facebook and thanks for the compliment!
Hugs,
Roserosek1870https://www.blogger.com/profile/07270936087981149993noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8596171131751265636.post-22319008293129628832014-10-22T13:55:29.404+08:002014-10-22T13:55:29.404+08:00Sing it, sister! I understand that as a designer you may prefer the look of specialty threads, but I thinks it's part of the job to make a DMC conversion anyway, especially since the hand-dyed, boutique threads never look the same from one dye lot to next. Ask me about the cotton candy pink I got that was supposed to be peach! I just pick colors I like at this point, but it does rankle if I can't get a clue from the designer.Claudette497https://www.blogger.com/profile/17679481757186222136noreply@blogger.com
