Little Doily No. 89

After being good for a month and didn't start anything, I finally gave in and started doily number 89 from the book 99 Little Doilies.  Here's the picture of the doily in the book:

Look at the details please.  When  I saw it, I got afraid of starting it.

And here's my interpretation.  My son was experimenting with his camera so the three photos:

Well, let's see how it will turn out when I finish it.

Thanks for reading and have a nice week ahead :-)

Another Forgotten Doily

While cleaning my cabinet, I saw a doily I made maybe several months ago that I completely forgotten to post about.  It is from this Japanese crochet book that I bought around 2 years ago.  The doily on the cover is what I made:

And I remember that I even blocked it.  Here's the photo while it's being blocked.  Love those pearly colored map pins!:
Now, here's the finished piece on our dining table:

This is all for now friends!  Take care always and thank you for dropping by.

99 Little Doilies

I was able to fight Startitis since the last time I posted here.  Maybe because I'm on a stitching slump or just too tired to think about it.  Yet, I've tried so hard to add some cross stitching to the Tropical Fruits, but not enough to show you much progress.  Last Monday, I did some little knitting.  Really have to otherwise I will completely forget how to do it.  Then Wednesday and Thursday, also this week, I added some stitches to the Tropical Fruits.

While looking for something in my cabinet, I happened to see the 99 Little Doilies book that I've asked my sister to purchase for me last year.  It was published by Leisure Arts and all the patterns in the book were created by Patricia Kristoffersen.  I noticed that some patterns in the previous book that I have blogged about in my last post are also in this book.

I really wanted to start doing some of the patterns in this book and I am debating whether to start by the numbers or just pick any one that I fancy.  Anyway, here are the photos of the doilies in the book.  If you want to see the photos clearly and bigger, just right click on the picture and choose "Open in new tab".

I hope you enjoyed looking at the pictures.

Have a great week ahead friends and always take care!
