Coasters Anyone?

When I started learning crochet, the first project that I did was a coaster, that is a free pattern from Anchor.  These are the first three that I made:

But since it's so fast to make a coaster (instant gratification, isn't it?), I did another in the same color as the one in the middle above.

Then two or three weeks I ago, I did this for my boss because whenever he has his coffee, he made use of table napkins as coaster.  This is bigger than the previous three because I did not finish all the rows (9 rows total) back then, just up to row 6, but with this one, I extended up to row 8:
Then after finishing this doily,
there are still some thread left so I decided to make another coaster:
Here are the coasters together:
And when piled, they looked like pancakes.  See how uneven my tension is?

This is all for now my friends.  Have a nice week ahead and take care everyone :-D

Little Doily No. 89 - Finished!

Remember this little doily that I started more than a month ago?

From the book 99 Little Doilies:

Finally, I was able to finish it two weeks ago but due to being busy, it was only now that I can post a picture of it:
It is not blocked yet, so will just post a photo again, hopefully soon.  I used Anchor thread no. 10 with 1.65mm crochet hook.  It's indicated in the book that the finished sized will be 8.5 inches.  Mine is only 6 inches so I guess I crocheted it too tightly.    One thing I like about Patricia Kristoffersen's patterns is that, although they are hard to do, it is so easy to block them.  Maybe it is because of the texture and details which I like so much.

Right now, although I cannot post regularly, my hook never goes empty.  I'm doing some coasters that as soon as I finish them, will also post photos here.

Am really sorry for being always absent here...

Have a nice week ahead and take care everyone :-)
